Sealing lines for TWINAX cables

High-precision taping lines, specifically designed for the production of TWINAXIAL CABLES with low-loss and high transmission speed rate. The lines cover the requirements for the production of cables used in Data link layer, SFP+, Ethernet, SATA, Display- Port, etc.
The taping modules, linked electrically with the double wheel capstan and served by high precision pay-off units, ensure the perfect wrapping of the cores, also coupled with the drain-wire, with the application of the screening and the sealing tapes.

The precision and the consistency of the cable are obtained thanks to the fully electronic wrapping heads equipped with WTM’s patented DYNAMIC dancer. The line has been designed to guarantee the most accurate tension control of both wires and tapes, even for cables with non-regular shapes.The line is equipped with in-line furnace/s to be placed and set according to the final product requests. A longitudinal taper can also be added as an option.

A comprehensive quality control system by means of lasergauges, VISIO SYSTEM® (by camera), and load cells can be integrated with the possibility of collecting data and manage the complete final product certification. WTM supports the Customers in the choice of the correct solutions, according to the specific production needs, in the wide range of different TWINAXIAL cable constructions.

• absolute wrapping accuracy with DIRECT control of the tape tension during wrapping process;
• extreme sensitivity of the pay-offs for highly precise and stable tension control in both drain-wire/s and cores;
• pulling unit by means of double wheel capstan;
• torque controlled take-up provided with traversing system for precise wire distribution;
• digital electronic control system with possibility of intranet and internet connection for remote assistance;
• in-line quality control by means of laser gauges, VISIO SYSTEM® (by camera), load cells with possibility of product certification and report;
