Dallan Coil To Window: an efficient system for the production of roller shutter curtains
Historically, the production of roller shutter curtains always started from preformed profile bars, which were later cut to size and assembled, resulting in a high percentage of waste (5-12%). The modern Dallan Coil To Window lines, instead, manufacture complete roller shutter curtains directly cut to size from a continuous coil strip with a waste rate close to zero. The advantages over the standard production method are enormous:
- energy savings (lower building heating and cooling costs);
- privacy;
- safety and security;
- very simple automation and domotics;
- high quality and resistance to atmospheric agents.
It is estimated that one single Dallan Coil To Window line can save manufacturers more than €200,000 a year compared to a traditional system, as it requires less manpower and eliminates the handling of the profile bundles.
Specifically, Dallan production systems include a decoiler for the raw material, a T4 precision rollformer, a COMBI quick changeover system containing the rollers, a foam machine with an associated set of foam maturing benches, a flying saw, a punching machine for the ventilation holes, a threading bench, and a locking system with plastic caps or mechanical locking.
