Optimizing a company: efficiency means cash flow and sustainability
Dallan Spa has been thoroughly studying how to make corporate processes more efficient.
As far as raw materials are concerned, more efficient processes bring two significant advantages. The first is an immediate cash flow: using less material to obtain the same production volumes means a direct reduction in purchasing and waste disposal costs. But that's not all! Obviously, this also translates into a more eco-friendly process.
Another fundamental element in the economy of any production cycle is energy consumption. In the past, flying shear machines used to dissipate a lot of energy during the shear handling phases. Today, Dallan designs lines that are 47% more efficient thanks to a series of modern devices and circuits that can accumulate energy while braking and return it in the next acceleration cycle. Hydraulic systems also play a key role in determining the energy costs of a plant. Although they are still very important and not entirely replaceable for physical and mechanical reasons, Dallan prefers servo-electric solutions. As electricity consumption is reduced by up to 73% and maintenance work is shorter, less frequent, and more flexible, this type of machinery can be seen as the evolution of hydraulic technology. Runtime is also not to be forgotten: a servo-electric machine is about 22% faster.
