Two lines in one, double productivity: Dallan Coil To Pack system

Dallan is a benchmark in the world of machines and systems for first-class profiles. The application fields are many and include interior finishing, sun shading, HVAC, metal furniture, and lighting. The Italian company is known all over the world thanks to more than forty years of experience in the manufacture of precision equipment for the processing of sheet metal products.

In today’s article, we put the extraordinary Dallan Coil To Pack system under the spotlight. This line is specifically engineered for the production of drywall profiles up to 240 meters per minute. The secret behind this exceptional system is the combination of two Dallan D4K lines – each one working at 120 mpm – from which the packages converge into one single strapping unit.
Each D4K is composed as follows. Two 3+3 ton decoilers unwind the material, high-speed rollformers produce different drywall profiles (stud and track), and the flying shear, with 7 punching tools on 2 moving carriages, drills a multitude of holes along the entire profile’s length. The special Dallan COMBI Technology allows ultra-fast changeovers to output different profiles with the same line. After the cutting station, one Dallan A10 machine assembles the first sub-bundle (up to 600x600 mm). Both bundles are then conveyed to the final Dallan A12W strapping machine, which inserts a timber tile underneath to create the final pack (base: 1200 mm) that will be stored in the exit point of the line.
