Levelers, scrap choppers, and coilers/decoilers

Levelers
The goal of the leveler is to remove all detected defects on the entry material. This is possible by using a 6th high-precision leveler, which is particularly recommended for processing materials with delicate surfaces (such as stainless steel, pre-painted steel, and so on). This machine comes with intermediate rolls positioned between the leveling and back-up rolls in order to correct defects such as coil sets, cross bows, twisted strips, central waves, or edge waves.

Scrap choppers
The purpose of the scrap chopper is to cut the scrap trims into smaller pieces that can be easily handled by the operators in order to be recycled or sold at the scrap market for a better price. The scrap chopper is composed of two independent cross adjustment heads with AC motors plus inverter.

Technical details:

- Blades: no. 4 on each rotor
- Blades gap adjustment by hydraulic motor and encoders
- Independently adjustable cutting heads positioning according to strip width
- Motor-driven belt conveyor evacuating the scrap out of the line to different collecting boxes and devices based on the material.
