Special machines for aluminum and alloys

In addition to the cut-to-length lines, the Fimi Group designs and manufactures special machines for the processing of aluminum and aluminum alloys. Developed from a deep knowledge of the material and of the production process, they can also be integrated into existing plants in order to optimize their performance.

Slab milling machines
FIMI slab milling machines feature a high mechanical efficiency combined with a perfect control of the installed power for high precision machining.
The machines have the following characteristics:

• upper mill-holder head, for machining the upper horizontal surface of the slabs;
• automatic system for dimension and profile detection of the incoming slab;
• slab tilting system with position control;
• milling tool inserts designed to be used twice as roughing tools, and twice as finishing tools, with consequent reduction of costs for spare parts and related stock expenses;
• high efficiency (99.9%) Venturi system;
• automatic, semi-automatic, and sequential working modes.

Chip compactors
FIMI has developed a licensed system for chip compaction that, unlike traditional systems, does not produce aluminum dust to be released into the environment.

Oilers
Easily integrated into existing systems, they offer precise and constant dosage and even distribution of cutting oil, even at low grammages. In addition, adequate thermal insulation ensures safety and energy savings. Thanks to accurate engineering, the change of the rollers is very simple. Thanks to the electronic drive with PLC system, predefined parameters can be set in advance.
