Nanshan Group, China's powerful giant operating in aluminum’s extrusion, for its new headquarters of Chicago has chosen Presezzi Extrusion Spa as official supplier for an innovative 45-MN press with direct drill from 11 MN (billet diameter of 12 "and maximum length of 56 "). This powerful machine will be used in new greenfield facility created for manufacture of hard alloys and special sections.
The press is technologically advanced for both engineering and high performance that the machine must ensure during production’s phase. The precision and the requirements of tubes and profiles made of special alloys of aluminum to achieve require action of extrusion for which the stack, and all the parts under press, must retain a particular non-deformability. It also has the particularity of being able to extrude different internal diameters reaching an extrusion speed of 27 mm / sec with a dimension of extrusion’s slot of 18 "x13" (457.2 mm x 330.2 mm).
A system for work axis’ centering and maintenance during the operational phase has already been studied and tested in the past by Presezzi Extrusion’ Department of Research and Development through futuristic solutions that the technical committee of Nanshan Group, composed of professionals from China and U.S., has enjoyed. Presezzi has designed, in fact, a system of telecare and blackbox, present on all the machines, which allows to constantly monitor from Italian headquarters, 24 hours on 24, any technical anomaly and to intervene promptly, reducing to almost zero any assistance in place. If necessary, however, Presezzi can activate in a few hours the branches in China and USA.
