Rotating machinery expert Flymca gets ready for Düsseldorf, backed by record year

Flymca, Spanish company specialized in the construction of rotating machinery (stranders and cablers) for the production of cables and conductors, and its sister company Flyro, which deals in second hand machinery for the wire and cable industry, are pleased to announce that they will be attending the wire fair in Düsseldorf, from the 16th to the 20th of April (Stand F78/ Hall 10).

Flymca is experiencing a very successful period. The year 2017 saw the company achieve a record of purchase orders worldwide, especially from well-known companies in Europe and the USA.

Three very customized lines, requiring the last technology for very specialized markets, were among the products delivered last year. The first machine was a 6 cage stranding line to produce conductors with up to 127 wires either round, flat or trapezoidal. The line was engineered to create compacted sections up to 3000 mm2 with a single pulley capstan with a diameter of 4,6 m and a vertical caterpillar conceived to drive the conductor to a rotating table.
The second one was a planetary line with 2 stranding cages for 30 and 36 reels, designed to work as one line for a double layer production, one lay up to 66 wires production or as 2 separate lines each one producing a different cable. The line is intended for the production of super conductors as well as armouring and stranding.
The third machine was a large planetary line for 12 reels with diameter 1600 mm, developed mainly for laying-up the super conductors made on the previous machine, with a very soft tension control as well as minimum bending radius. The line was also prepared for laying-up of sector shape pre-spiralized conductors (e.g. Milliken).

Another big achievement of 2017 was the plant extension, which had the purpose of hosting a bigger working team and to favour a growth in business. In addition, a larger factory allows to assembly bigger machines which are more and more required by markets as high voltage and submarine cables.

Flymca 2018 resolution is to increase the record of sales achieved in 2017 by working on special heavy duty planetary lines for submarine cables armouring, rigid stranders for the power cables market, and other customized high technology solutions.
