CTC cage stranders with backtwist

n

CTC cage stranders with backtwist suitable for CTC-conductors stranding operations.

Cage construction
The rotor cage consists of a central tube with slipped-on yoke rings. The yoke rings are fixed on the central tube by taper lock rings. The pintles are supported in fork type cradles. The cradles are tilted 10 degrees to machine axis. The backtwist of bobbins are 100 percent. The cage is supported in a spherical roller bearing mounted overhung. The opposite bearing support consists of a number of trunnion roller pairs on which the yoke rings are supported. The number of trunnion roller pairs depends on the length of cage.

Cage drive
The cage is driven by an AC motor (or via transmission shaft). The cage speeds are adjustable by the drive motor.

Cage brake
The cage is braked by a pneumatically operated disk brake fitted to one yoke ring. The brake pressure is continuously calculated in relation to the actual speed of the line components (for example: taping units) and to the cage speed. In case of emergency stop or power failure, the ultimately calculated brake pressure is acting on the brake.

Bobbin support
The bobbins are supported between pintles. The pintles are opened pneumatically and closed by cup springs. The pintles are mechanically locked and electrically secured so that the machine cannot run with a pintle not properly closed.

Bobbin braking
Each bobbin is braked by a band brake with spring-loaded dynamometer with instant release lever for bobbin change.

Wire Guiding
The wires are running through round wire guides, mounted in the yoke rings, to guide
plates with rotating rectangular nipples. The guide plates are guiding the wires parallel to central tube
to the layplate mounted behind the rear yoke ring. This layplate has backtwist-mounted, rectangular nipples which ensure a precise wire entry into the transposing head by the forced guiding system.

Transposing Head
In co-operation with Co. Arens we are able to deliver the transposing head.
Röbelkopf: In Kooperation mit der Firma Arens sind wir in der Lage einen Röbelkopf zu liefern.
