Tubular stranders for Al and Cu conductors, steel strands and ropes

Stolberger, specializing in the cable machinery business since 60 years, manufactures and sells tubular stranders for the production of Al and Cu conductors, steel strands and ropes.

Bobbin size range: 200 to 1120 mm flange diameter.
Number of bobbins: 6 – 12 – 18 up to 48.

Rotor construction
Steel tube, welded and stress-relieved, exact dynamically balanced up to maximum speed (out-of-balance below 10 grams).

Rotor support
By encircling bearings, mounted in adjustable supporting frames.

Lubrication device
A central lubrication device serves for automatic and exact lubrication of all rotor bearings. Bearing temperature monitored by sensors fitted to bearing outer ring.

Bobbin support
Between pintles running in bearings, closed by compression cup springs and opened pneumatically.

Bobbin braking
By brake band, with palpating device to maintain braking force constant. As option by AC servo drive.

Wire-Guidings
Via polished hard metal nipples mounted along the tube and by pulleys or guides on deflection points.

Several other options are available as per customer request.
