Cartacci Tube Machinery shines on the international stage
A successful company recognizes the importance of continuous evolution to keep pace with the ever-changing market. This entails a constant search for new opportunities, adoption of innovative technologies, and updating of business strategies. We interviewed Angelika Zarutskaya, Marketing Manager at Cartacci Tube Machinery S.r.l., an Italy-based pipe machinery manufacturer, to discover the strategic approaches the company has taken to solidify its competitive position in the industrial landscape.
Let’s talk about your company: how has it transformed over the years?
In 1967, Cartacci Tube Machinery S.r.l. established its presence in the tube machinery construction sector. The founder, Mr. Carlo Cartacci, embarked on this venture after gaining extensive personal experience working with tube production plants at a historic Bergamo-based company. This marked the inception of Cartacci Tube Machinery S.r.l. Initially, the company specialized in manufacturing machines for tube straightening and drawing. Fifteen years ago, it expanded its operations to include packaging systems for bundling tubes, bars, and profiles of various shapes. Furthermore, in the new millennium, under the guidance of engineer Fabrizio Mamoli, the company expanded the machine range to encompass tube straighteners up to 13" and drawing plants with capacities of up to 300 tons. Today, backed by over 50 years of experience, we proudly celebrate the successful delivery of over 500 tube-finishing plants to customers worldwide.
That's truly an impressive achievement. We are aware of your extensive involvement in international markets. Which countries are your primary destinations?
Undoubtedly, the United States and Canada are our primary destination countries. Over the past few years, we have experienced substantial growth in the American market, and we are excited to continue expanding our presence there. As a testament to our commitment, we have upcoming plans to ship a 5" tube packaging line, with lengths ranging from 18' to 48', to the United States. This plant has recently been completed and thoroughly tested in our facility, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Alongside North America, we have also established a strong foothold in South America and several countries in Central Asia.
Do you have any projects lined up in these countries?
We are preparing for an upcoming trip to Kazakhstan to serve a valued client at their facility in Pavlodar city. Our technicians will be responsible for the setup and testing of a brand-new tube straightening machine, the RDT10V3UP HOT model, specifically designed to straighten "upset" tubes, with a diameter range spanning from 60 to 177 mm and a maximum length of 14.5 meters. Notably, the machine incorporates advanced heat treatment capabilities, allowing for the straightening of tubes at temperatures reaching approximately 600°C.
So, you are constantly engaged in activities.
Indeed, staying agile and responsive to market demands is of utmost importance. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are currently working on a comprehensive overhaul of our company website. This update will feature dedicated pages showcasing our specific product lines in greater detail.
