Mazak to showcase its innovative Laser Beam Shaping Technology at EuroBLECH 2022

High-performance machines and state-of-the-art laser-cutting solutions

Mazak is about to reveal its newest laser processing machines for tube, pipe, and sheet metal cutting at EuroBLECH 2022: the FG-400 NEO and OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO 15 kW. Both machine models are equipped with the Beam Shaping Technology, which controls where the power density of the laser beam is concentrated, improving cutting speed and quality on a wide range of materials.

FG-400 NEO
The FG-400 NEO is an all-in-one machine that can perform multiple processes (such as 3D cutting, drilling, chamfering, flow-drilling and even tapping), resulting in improved production capabilities and performances. The system is suitable for large-size tubes and pipes, including round, square, and rectangular cross-sections; as well as H, I, and L beams. The combination of an advanced 3D laser head - with A-axis, B-axis, and fiber laser technology - facilitates the machining of complex shapes and highly reflective materials while the 4-chucks system offers even more stability, preventing material distortion.

OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO 15 kW
This brand-new 2D laser cutting machine benefits from a high degree of automated features to deliver up to 95% faster set-up times: the combination of MAZATROL SmoothLx CNC Control, MCT3 cutting-head (with automatic nozzle changing and automatic focus positioning) provides highly accurate and precise sheet metal processing. In addition, the wide front and side access doors improve accessibility, easing loading and unloading operations.

Automation
The OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO 15 kW displayed at EuroBLECH will be equipped with the CST 3015 automation system featuring a single tower mounted above the laser pallet changer; 8 separate pallets – each with a load capacity of up to 3,000 kg – complete the solution, together with a suction-based system for loading raw material and unloading processed workpieces.

A certain goal: environmental sustainability
As highlighted by the company’s ‘Go Green’ initiative, Mazak has set the goal to reduce its environmental footprint and achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Both machines on display at EuroBLECH 2022 feature Mazak’s Fiber technology, which can considerably reduce production and energy costs while providing unprecedented cutting speed and quality for both thick and thin materials.

Don’t miss Mazak’s latest innovations at the EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover (Germany) at STAND D26/HALL 11 from October 25 to 28.
