High-speed CTL line for heavy gauge steel plates


The China-based manufacturer Nantong Reliantt also designs and develops leveling and cut-to-length lines for steel plates, destined for heavy-duty applications.

The line can process hot-rolled carbon steel with a thickness up to 25 mm, a width of up to 2500 mm, and a coil weight of up to 35 T and is designed for continuous production and integration into various types of plants, such as steel mills, metal service centers, and automotive factories.

The line is PLC controlled and is composed of a decoiler, pinch roll and leveler, length controller, shearer, and stacker, along with additional features like a feeder, a side guider, and a loop bridge, as well as automations to increase productivity levels and enhance safety for the operators. For example, the DC digital speed control system ensures rapid response speed and good dynamic and static characteristics. The high-precision encoder effectively governs the measuring precision and running speed of the plate, allowing for automatic measuring and display of the shearing length and quantity. To provide increased safety for the operators, the line is equipped with an emergency stop and alarm system that trigger automatically in case of accidents.

Extra functionalities comprise a dust collector with a brush/vacuum system to enhance material surface finishing, lift type conveyors for seamless operation in the entry section, and a cutting shear with tracking/moving capabilities, ensuring uninterrupted production. The machine can be customized with a plethora of options, such as the addition of a start-stop shear and a choice between a simple stacker and an auto stacker.
