Africa Wire, Cable and Tube Conference: a word from Assomac

Johannesburg was the stage of the first edition of the Africa Wire, Cable and Tube Conference organized by CRU from 11 to 13 November, when major industry players gathered in the charming halls of the Emperors Palace.

Assomac, of course, took part in the event with a dedicated tabletop: the company is one of India’s leading names in the manufacturing of machinery for wire drawing, wire galvanising, annealing, copper coating and allied Equipments. Mr. Ashish Tyagi, company director, stated that:

“it was an interesting conference and a good opportunity for networking with companies from all over the world. Just like after any event of this caliber, we have to work to translate these leads into real customers.”

Trends and driving forces in wire and cable industries across Africa were highlighted, as well as the main reasons for this year’s plummeting of demand. The focus then shifted to the risks and rewards of the African market, together with the challenges yet to be overcome and the bright opportunities that this continent has to offer.

The conference all in all was a success with regards to being the first event in this part of the world, a huge thanks goes to the organisers to be able to comply with every attendee’s needs.
