Coilers, spoolers & payoff units
Vertical drop coilers
These machines are best suited for bare or coated low-carbon, high-carbon, and stainless steel wires. The coiled wire is collected on formers (stems/spiders/baskets), on drums, or collected in catch weight coils.
Assomac's vertical drop coilers are engineered and manufactured to meet the strictest demands of the wire industry. Each machine is designed with a combination of standard sub-assemblies and custom components to meet the customer’s needs and deliver the highest quality with competitive prices. The largest manufacturing facility in India and the long experience in the evolution of these machines make Assomac the best qualified supplier of such equipment. The enterprise produces the most sophisticated and sturdy coilers, making reliability and efficiency their flagships.
Blocks are available in a wide range of diameters, such as 300 mm/400 mm/450 mm/500 mm/600 mm/760 mm/900mm covering from ø0,6mm to ø8 mm wire. It is also possible to supply coilers with two different sized blocks.

Dead block coilers
Assomac supplies dead block coilers for HC, MS, SS, and non ferrous wires from ø1 mm to ø8 mm. To achieve higher productivity, a high drawing speed is not enough: longer run time is far more useful.
Machine capstan range: 300 mm to 76 0mm;
Wire range: 0,9 mm to 6 mm for all metals and alloys.

Drum pack coilers
With the advent of robotic welding and high-speed automated MIG welding machines, the need for larger packaging wire grew exponentially. This need was faced using larger spools and synchronizing a complete motorized payoff system with the welding line to supply the wire in the required form and speed.Hence, drum packs – or pail packs – were developed to provide wire in cardboard drums with an inner core. The machine is thus called “pale packer”, “drum pack coiler”, or “no twist coiler”.

Steel spools
Assomac manufactures steel spools as per 46397, reinforced with independently machined precision side flanges and a central core. All independent components are press fitted together, CO2 mig wire welded, and finally machined before high speed dynamic and static balancing operations.
These steps result in perfectly concentric spools with excellent balancing and long life cycles with lower breakdown risks.
