Dry Wire Drawing Machine
- Straight line wire drawing machine
SLM Sensor Arm
Assomac’s straight line wire drawing machines were developed for straight or deflection-free drawing of wire to provide better drawability, lower frictional contact, and lower operator interference. Theoretically, there is no limit as far as the wire material or wire diameter to be drawn on these machines is concerned. Currently, the capstan diameter range available is 300 mm, 400 mm, 460 mm, 500 mm, 550 mm, 600 mm, 750 mm, and 900 mm for ø0,5 mm to ø16 mm wire. Speed up to 22 m/s.

SLM Dancer Control
This type of wire drawing machine features vertically oriented drums. Without any inclination, two fixed pulleys and a moving pulley on a dancer arm move the wire. This dancer arm is either spring-loaded or pneumatic-loaded and is equipped with special sensors. The wire is transferred from one drawing drum to another through the fixed pulleys and the dancer-mounted pulley across an inclined plane. This machine is particularly suitable for wires below ø4 mm and mandatory for wires below ø1,5mm. Other features, fitments, and optional attachments are the same as the ones available for the straight line sensor control type machine.

- OTO type wire drawing machine
Assomac offers a wide range of high-speed O.T.O. and B.B. type wire drawing machines. The wire is pulled through a die – which is fitted in an independant die box – and is wound on the block. Later, the O.T.O. pulley pulls it to the next die. The BB Block is a twist-free machine featuring a free bobbin block for accumulation and transfer to the next block. This machine is specifically engineered to endure the sometimes harsh workshop conditions of wire drawing plants and can thus guarantee top-class performance and accuracy with just minimum maintenance operations.These machines find application in a variety of stainless steel, high carbon steel, alloy steel, mild steel, and copper wire drawing mills.

- Horizontal straight line machines
The horizontal straight line machine (Horizontal SLM) by Assomac is a multi-block machine with horizontal-axis drawing capstans, sensor arm speed synchronization, and an additional dancer arm on the finishing block. The high degree of automation and remarkable efficiency of the drawing machines, together with their sturdy and low-maintenance mechanics, contribute to achieve high quality production at the lowest possible operating cost.

- Horizontal/Vertical bull block
Assomac offers a comprehensive range of bull block machines, such as horizontal and vertical bull block machines, for cold heading wire drawing or coiling. The company’s range of bull blocks is mainly used for coarse wire sizes, re-bar and weld-mesh. Assomac also offers bull blocks in customized specifications:
- both horizontal and vertical bull blocks;
- available in multi-speed & variable drives;
- suitable for ferrous & non ferrous wires;
- models for various coil diameters;
- BB in multiple of 2 to 11 blocks;
- twist free operation.
- Inverted vertical drawing machine (IVD)
The use of inverted vertical drawing machines is increasing day by day for the drawing of alloys, high-carbon, and stainless steel wires. This machine can greatly boost your work efficiency, as the drawing is done from coil to coil and drawn wires are directly wound on carries — which are taken “as-it-is” for further use or dispatch.
In case of >ø20mm wire size, productivity can also be enhanced with inline-type cutter pointing machines and horizontal-arm type revolving payoff with push feeding system.
Wire range: 5 mm to 36mm;
block diameter: 610 mm/800 mm/900 mm/1000 mm/1200 mm;
motor: 30 hp to 180 hp.
