Wire winding, a new video by Collari

In its latest video, Collari Macchine shows one of its newest achievements: a wire rewinding line that, starting from coils - in annealed iron, galvanized iron, copper, aluminum, or coated wire - allows obtaining standard coils with an outer diameter of max. 34 cm and an internal diameter of 20 cm. Thanks to the SLF01 in-line lubrication system, the packaged coils are also perfectly lubricated.

The AU180SPEM winding machine offers several advantages: for example, the spooling stops automatically once the set number of coiled wire layers is reached; and the machine is ready to run the next spool. Through an automatic pneumatic system, the finished and bound coil is extracted out of the winding drum and can be quickly removed.

The video shows the re-winding machine in combination with the model SV2, static unwinder with 1,000-kg coil capacity. Optimal unwinding is ensured by a jam and a wire break detection system: in both cases, the machine stops instantly. Worker safety is further ensured by an accident prevention guard. The unwinder is also equipped with a bridge frame that opens in two directions to allow easy loading by forklift or overhead crane.


The Italy-based company Collari Macchine boasts a 5,000 square meters working area and is led by the third generation of the family, Gian Luca and Valeria Collari. In addition to its activities in the agricultural sector, the company is known for the production and supply of wire winding machines, which are exported not only to Europe but also overseas.
