DEM Wire Rolling Technology: cold rolling line for coils. DEM cold rolling lines, under GCR Eurodraw’s licence, are designed and built for high-performance production of indented wire for mesh and rebar.
The high performance cold rolling line is modular and is composed of a double pay-off for wire rod uncoiling, a mechanical descaler with hydraulic roll positioning, a lubricating unit, a drawing machine with stress-relieving unit, single or double horizontal spooler up to 5000 kg with automatic change.
The 760 mm horizontal axis twin block drawing machine (two separate and individual blocks combined) each double deck type and each equipped with double rolling cassettes that can be used individually or combined in different ways. The drawing machine can be equipped with a single/twin or triple block horizontal axis. The DEM-GCR Eurodraw cold rolling line has been designed to work in the toughest industrial environments, requires little maintenance and is operator-friendly, giving full access to capstans and rolling cassettes. Two rolling cassettes can be mounted on each pass so that changing wire sizes does not require the removal of the rolling cassette from its location.
The line is provided with all auxiliary parts, such as cooling system for the rolling equipment and hydraulic unit for the pay-off. - Material: low carbon or stainless steel wire. - Production range: from Ø 3.0 to 16 mm ribbed or smooth wire - Coils: up to 5 Tons. - Rolling speeds: up to 15 m/sec.
