New concept for copper enameling lines
DEM SpA, a prominent name in rolling solutions, will present a newly developed stand-alone rolling module for enameling lines at the upcoming wire exhibition in Germany.
The new module is very compact, making it easy to install in both new or existing enameling lines. The goal is to deliver high-end rolled products while seamlessly integrating into a process that requires uninterrupted operations.
This new DEM solution represents a breakthrough for the fabrication of flat wire used as CTC in transformers and as hairpins in e-mobility power drives.
DEM’s wire rolling technology for copper stands out due to several key factors:
• higher speed (1200 m/min) achieved through rolling, compared to drawing or extrusion;
• longer roll life compared to dies, resulting in higher efficiency due to reduced maintenance and no need for extraordinary interventions;
• perfect coiling of flat wire, including profiles as small as 0.25 x 0.25 mm, guaranteed at the highest production speed;
• outstanding tolerance levels, with thicknesses as low as 0.002 mm and perfect transitions from round to flat, ensuring guaranteed tolerance for entire lots, including large lots (e.g., 10 tons) thanks to negligible wear of tools;
• dimensional and surface quality meeting the requirements of the enameling process for defect-free electric insulation.
Visit DEM's booth, No. G42, Hall 11 at wire Düsseldorf from April 15 to 19 to see the innovative rolling module in action and learn more about its capabilities firsthand.
