Mechanical descaling machine for wire: brush descaler

Lämneå Bruk brushing machine Brush Descaler MB8 is suitable for cleaning of Low Carbon – High Carbon with wire sizes from 5,5 mm up to 14 mm.

The brushing machine MB8 is an in-line cleaner, working in combination with a scale braker unit. The frame is self-supporting and needs only a flat surface for installation.

The machine cleans the wire thoroughly before entering the drawing machine.

The Brush descaler is equipped with 4 pair of brushes, with a total of 8 brushes. Each pair is mounted in 45 degrees to each other in order to cover all around the wire.

To reach optimal cleaning efficiency and at the same time prolong the brush lifetime to the maximum possible extent, an intelligent brush pressure detecting has been implemented. The intelligent brush pressure is making that trough the brush life, the brush pressure on the wire is the same during the whole life time of the brushes. Each brush pair are adjustable separately to the wire, only a few values entered into the operator display and the pressure detection system is set up.

This gives that the line operator does not need to adjust any settings as the scale effect is automatically adjusted and maintained. This way also the lifetime of the brushes gets up to 150 ton/pair.
