Braiding excellence takes the spotlight: Niehoff at wire Southeast Asia 2023

Maschinenfabrik Niehoff and its subsidiary, Niehoff Singapore Pte. Ltd., are all set to showcase their prowess in the realm of braiding machinery at the upcoming wire Southeast Asia 2023 trade fair. This presentation will be headlined by their innovative braiding machine, the BMV 16, exhibited at the German Pavilion.

Distinguished by its vertical lever-arm rotary configuration and 16 bobbin carriers, the BMV 16 stands apart from conventional braiding machines due to its array of patented features. These distinctive attributes empower users to harness substantial cost savings, making it a standout choice in the industry.

One of the machine's standout attributes is its ability to automatically elevate bobbin speed from 175 rpm to a maximum of 200 rpm. This dynamic enhancement contributes to a 10% upswing in braiding performance, leading to increased output. Furthermore, the machine's lubrication intervals are intelligently regulated based on the prevailing temperature conditions of the slideway. This results in reduced lubricant consumption and diminished oil contamination on the braids.

Niehoff's proprietary Wire Tension Control (WTC)
system plays a pivotal role in ensuring uniform tension application of all braiding wires throughout the full-to-empty bobbin range. This translates into faultless shielding, a requisite feature for an array of applications. Additionally, the BMV 16 maintains the set braiding coverage ratio consistently, thereby conserving up to 10% of the braiding material. This lean approach is not only resource-efficient but also allows for meticulous documentation and presentation of braiding coverage to customers.

The machine's advanced monitoring systems facilitate uninterrupted operation over extended durations, minimizing the need for frequent operator intervention. The integration of the myNIEHOFF web app adds an extra layer of convenience, enabling users to seamlessly monitor machine and process data online.

Importantly, the BMV 16 permits documentation of braiding parameters, empowering users to offer tangible evidence of top-quality outcomes to their customers. With its adaptable design, the BMV 16 is crafted to process bare or plated round or flat wires made of copper, aluminum, or stainless steel with cross-section dimensions ranging from 0.02 to 0.56 mm² (for Cu soft). It also accommodates artificial yarn and fibers, making it a versatile solution for a broad spectrum of applications.

As the wire Southeast Asia 2023 exhibition approaches, Niehoff's participation promises to redefine the standards of braiding technology, offering innovative solutions that cater to industry demands and fueling progress across the domain.
