Niehoff's exhibits at the upcoming wire show in Shanghai
Maschinenfabrik Niehoff and its Chinese subsidiary, Niehoff Machinery Changzhou Co., Ltd. (NMC), will showcase their technology at wire China 2024, from September 25 to 28 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Visit booth E1B51 to see their MMH 121 + RM 201 type multiwire drawing line, the D 632 type double twist bunching machine with an ARH 630 type pay-off, and a BMV 24 type vertical braiding machine.
MMH 121: Future-focused multiwire drawing technology
NMC, Niehoff's Chinese subsidiary, builds MMH type multiwire drawing lines under Niehoff's license specifically for the Chinese market. These lines combine components from Niehoff’s German headquarters, such as the machine’s mechanics, with those produced by NMC, including the annealer, switch cabinet, and spooling system. Assembly and test runs are completed at NMC, ensuring high quality before delivery and installation by NMC technicians.
The MMH 121 + RM 201 multiwire drawing line stands out for its compact design, high productivity, and low wire break rate. Its RM 201 resistance annealer uses a proven 2/3 zone annealing process, with or without wire reheating, for optimal wire drying and energy efficiency, especially for larger wire sizes. The result is consistently homogeneous wires, ideal for high-quality strands or braids.
Technical Data MMH 121
Max. production speed: 35 m/s
Wire inlet diameter: 2.00 or 1.80 mm*
Finished wire diameter: 0.16 ... 0.55 mm
Max. number of wires: 24
*Cu hard
D 632: High-quality strands for demanding applications
NMC also manufactures the D 632 double twist bunching machine under Niehoff’s license, known for its high productivity and precision. The machine’s single-bow design, combined with the Eco-Bow, results in significant energy and cost savings. Key features include electric lay-length adjustment and constant tension control from empty to full spool, ensuring tightly toleranced strands and perfect spools.
A standout feature of the D 632 is Niehoff's patented Stretch Forming and Straightening Technology, which prevents common issues like crowning and spiraling, especially when processing fine copper alloy wires like CuSn0.3. This makes the D 632 ideal for producing high-quality strands for automotive cables, ensuring superior performance and reliability.
Technical Data D 632
Max. production speed: 300 m/min
Strand cross section*: 0.09 … 6.00 mm²
Lay length: 6 … 100 mm (steplessly variable)
Max. number of twists: 7000 twists/min

BMV 24: Precision braiding with high efficiency
The BMV 24 vertical lever-arm rotary braiding machine, featuring 24 bobbin carriers, offers precision and versatility. It includes electronic control of line speed and braiding pitch, an automatic central lubrication system, and multiple monitoring systems for extended, unattended operation.
The BMV series can accelerate braiding speed, reduce lubrication frequency based on temperature, and apply braiding wires under uniform tension with Niehoff’s Wire Tension Control System, ensuring perfect shielding. The Coverage Control System maintains a constant braiding coverage ratio, saving up to 10% in braiding material. These machines are versatile, handling various materials and producing different braid patterns.
Technical Data BMV 24
Cross section: 0.02 ... 0.56 mm²*
Max. braiding pitch: 6 … 180 mm
