This vertical lever arm rotary braiding machine features three patented innovations
Maschinenfabrik Niehoff is a well-known manufacturer of wire drawing machines and lines for the wire and cable industry, as well as braiding machines.
The BMV vertical rotary braiding machines equipped with 12, 16, or 24 braiding bobbin carriers
are part of the company's offer since 2002. Now Niehoff's R&D experts prove once again to be one step ahead, introducing new developments to the market.
The Niehoff 16-carrier lever arm rotary braiding machine model BMV 16 is equipped with the following three patented innovations:
1. Increased braiding output
The braider can automatically accelerate the bobbin rotational speed from 175 rpm to 200 rpm while reducing the frequency of the lubrication intervals. This results in a braiding process increasing braiding output by 10%.
2. A constant braiding coverage ratio
The BMV 16 braider is capable of keeping the ratio of the braiding coverage of the cable constantly at a preset value (for example 80%). This solution allows applying only as much braiding wire as necessary, thus saving material.
3. Uniform braiding wire tension
Thanks to the WTC (Wire Tension Control) system and the dancer position, the braiding machine regulates the braiding wire tension of the braiding bobbins. Thus, all braiding wires are applied under uniform tension to the product to be braided, resulting in an also uniform braid along the entire length of the product.
