What will Niehoff present at the 2024 edition of wire Düsseldorf?

Niehoff's exhibits at wire 2024 in Düsseldorf
15 – 19 April 2024, booth 10D22

Get ready for innovation! Maschinenfabrik Niehoff is showcasing a range of cutting-edge technologies at wire 2024, from high-performance rod breakdown lines to efficient braiding solutions.

A rod breakdown line type MSM 88 + world first R 503 (in the picture above)

At wire 2024, Maschinenfabrik Niehoff will present the new next-generation rod breakdown (RBD) line type MSM 88 + R 503 for copper and aluminum wires. The line boasts high performance combined with significant savings in energy costs and CO2 emissions.
The core of this rod breakdown line is a powerful combination:

⦿ A new drawing machine (MSM 88) with torque motors for efficient operation.
⦿ A continuous resistance annealer (R 503) using HEAT technology - a patented system that allows for improved recrystallization.

A multiwire drawing line type MMH 132 + RM 162
(above)

Niehoff's new MMH 132 multiwire drawing machine brings a powerful and adaptable solution for copper and aluminum wire production. Built with one or two levels – each level being able to draw 12 or 16 wires – and in two lengths for 23 or 27 drafts, the machine is designed to process up to 16 hard copper wires with an inlet diameter of 2.6 mm per level. Beyond its versatility, this machine shines with its ability to significantly increase production output compared to traditional lines, all while achieving significant energy savings.

A NPS Spooler type SV 403 D

The newest Niehoff Package System (NPS) innovation is the SV 403 D double spooler. This machine boasts a remarkable 30% increase in speed (up to 2400 meters per minute) compared to its predecessor. Niehoff's innovative design keeps spools stable under high speeds, allowing for spool changes without interrupting production. The SV 403 D also minimizes waste with features like splinter protection during spool transfers and vibration monitoring to prevent faulty spools from causing damage. Furthermore, the elimination of wear-prone parts reduces maintenance needs. The SV 403 D will be on display alongside an ARS type pay-off.

A bobbin rewinding machine type SMB
(in the picture above)

Niehoff's new SMB four-spindle rewinder significantly improves efficiency for braiding machines. The SMB can continuously supply eight to ten braiders and operates at speeds up to 800 m/min, 200 m/min faster than its predecessor. It features automatic feeding of four braiding spools from a magazine, automatic spooling according to preset parameters, and automatic fixing and cutting of wire ends, as well as optional wire bundle splitting. This system enables high-quality braids to be produced at high speeds with minimal wire breakage.

A BMV 16 type rotary braiding machine

The BMV 16 type vertical lever-arm rotary braiding machine can automatically accelerate the bobbin speed from 175 rpm to a maximum value of 200 rpm. This allows the braiding performance to increase by 10%. With the help of Niehoff’s patented Wire Tension Control (WTC) system, all braiding wires – from full to empty braiding bobbin – are applied to the product to be braided under uniform tension. The result is flawless shielding, which is required for more and more applications.

Niehoff's after-sales service will present its wide range of spare parts bearing the Niehoff Original + label, contributing to further increasing the efficiency of Niehoff systems in the long term. Other service offerings include the modernization of earlier Niehoff machines and machine relocations. Visitors to the Niehoff booth will also learn how to best benefit from the new digital service platform myNIEHOFF.

The new service concept NIEHOFF LifeCycle+

The NIEHOFF LifeCycle+ service concept integrates various services to ensure optimal utilization of Niehoff machines throughout their lifespan. It comprises four stages: installation, training, spare parts supply, maintenance, and machine overhaul. At Niehoff's booth, visitors will also learn about leveraging the digital service platform myNIEHOFF and innovative features like NIEHOFF Monitoring and NIEHOFF OutputTune to enhance production efficiency.
