RSL Sealed Lid continuous casting technology by Rautomead

Rautomead RSL Sealed Lid continuous casting technology is specifically engineered for near net shape casting at 12 - 30 mm diameter. Continuous casting replaces billet casting, extrusion, and rolling and thus it heavily cuts the production costs per ton. By shortening the manufacturing cycle, the metal inventory time is also reduced.

Designed for the production of Copper Chrome Zirconium rods and other similar progressive alloys (in which the liquid metal is protected in an Argon gas atmosphere), this line is available as:

- a two strand machine for up to 3,500 tons per year;
- a one strand machine for product development and R&D.

The CuCrZr rods manufactured with Rautomead’s machinery are perfect for producing trolley wire rods, connector pins, welding tips, high-voltage contact strips, and thin wire.
