Wire drawing line for CHQ wire with spooler
The wire drawing line with horizontal bull-block Model MOS-14, complete with horizontal spooler Mod. BO1200, is an installation designed for uncoiling, drawing and spooling of steel wire, for Cold Heading applications.
The line is composed of two vertical uncoilers, with anti-knot system, upon which are positioned coils with diameter up to 14,0 mm; the uncoilers permit the coils loading while the line is running, in order to reduce the downtimes to a minimum.
The uncoiled wire passes first through two straightening units, one with vertical axis rolls and the other with horizontal axis rolls, and is then drawn on the horizontal bull-block with rotating die system; with this type of bull-block is possible to reach production speeds up to 75 m/min.
The drawn wire is taken-up on collapsible spools, by means of a horizontal spooler: the pulling force of the spooler can be adjusted and the wire spooling is obtained through a displacing wire distributor, with closed loop position control.
When the wire spooling operation is completed, the coil gets strapped and the spool is transported to a tilting unit, for its vertical positioning; in this way, it will be possible to take out the superior flange with the help of an electric hoist and then extract the strapped coil.
Tecno Impianti has supplied this wire drawing line complete with fences and photoelectric barriers, in compliance with the UNI 13857 standard.
The wire drawing line is equipped with PLC; the touch-screen installed on the control panel allows the modification of setup parameters of the machines and visualizes eventual alarms or warnings. The operator can also manage the complete line with push buttons panels installed on the single machines, for jog mode.
