UDM seeks innovative technical solutions for flying shears

Thanks to the POR FESR 2014-2020 Growth and Employment program financed by the European Union, UDM has launched a project to find innovative technical solutions to apply to shears for drawing lines.

The project focuses on the development, construction, testing and validation of new electric shears without oleodynamic circuits for drawing lines. The new solutions will be specifically designed to perform optimum cutting operations by automated, digitized and interconnected processes (interaction between man and machine, interaction between machines in-line and finally between machine and manufacturer).

Set goals
1) Conception of the new technology in terms of operating principle, components and mechanical, electrical and electronic systems needed, control logics and efficient monitoring and management systems of the new machine in the absence of hydraulic installations.

2) Components realization/acquisition, assembly, implementation, testing, validation and demonstration in the operating environment of the new technology.

UDM was born with the idea of designing, selling and building cold drawing lines, cold rolling mills and extrusion services for non-ferrous and ferrous materials.
