Angeli enhances the AV-TZ-LF coiling machine for metal wire coil production

Angeli Srl, a leading machine manufacturer, is happy to introduce a new, redesigned version of the AV-TZ-LF coiling machine. This cutting-edge machine has been enhanced for the efficient production of thin metal wire coils with automatic binding.

The AV-TZ-LF provides a seamless packaging cycle without interruptions for cutting and binding. Compared to typical coilers, the resulting coil boasts a tension-free spiral, ensuring ease of use even after the bindings are removed. The core of the machine is the winding unit, implemented with a capstan  rotating in the opposite direction of the wire-winding device, a distinct technique developed by Angeli.

The capstan's traction system is based on a V process with the possibility to change the angle based on the wire diameter. The AV-TZ model can be supplied in various configurations depending on the type of binding required by the customer, including the AV-TZ version without binding modules or the AV-TZ-LF, which features binding using metal wire.

Redesigned innovations
The coiling machine's frame underwent a significant overhaul: components that were once part of the rear column for wire feed are now integrated into the machine main body. This apparently little change has reduced the overall footprint of the machinery, resulting in a more compact model.

Additionally, the machine's height has been reduced by 15 cm, enhancing accessibility to the top during wire feeding. Significant enhancements have been implemented in the software and communication capabilities of the machinery, facilitating remote assistance through software and enabling an OPC-UA server to deliver data on the machine's status and productivity. These improvements align the machine's features with the demands of Industry 4.0 standards.
