Gem's new entry: the D01 butt welding machine

The new D01 stems from a project consolidated over several years and appreciated by a multitude of customers working in the field of round rod. The need to increase the quality and the repeatability of welded joints led the welding machines specialist GEM to the creation of a new version, in which following factors have been improved or increased:

1. Improved closing force on the rod with a new lever system and a three-stage cylinder
2. Double stage cylinder for heads closing
3. DC welding control
4. Modified diode modules to use the machine without cooling system

The machine has been equipped with an aluminum base with 4 pivoting wheels and parking brake to allow users to move the machine inside the factory or place it directly in front of the bending machine.
