Omas delivers the second Bull Bending plant for gutter bracket manufacturing
An important customer in Northern Europe has chosen Omas Piegatrici for its production needs once again. The Italy-based company has recently fulfilled an order for a gutter bracket manufacturing plant.
In detail, the production line is composed of:
- a payoff;
- a 30-ton EUT press equipped with 3 electronic axes with automatic die change;
- a 17-beam profiling machine with 4-roll turks head;
- a Bull Bending module configured with a 60-ton SPX 600 double-rod electronic press, a 30-ton EUT 30RA mobile electronic screw press, and 8 BU 90 RA 9-ton bending modules with automatic positioning.
The PLC, HMI, and motion Bending+Programming® software packages developed internally manage more than 30 electronic axes as well as all the plant servicing.
The development of these new programs and the integration of multiple controls for material elongations allowed Omas to increase productivity by 150% compared with the previous plant. The positioning precision of the electronic bending units, the sensors, and the software integration have allowed tolerances below 0.1 mm thanks to an intelligent self-adaptive system.
