ATE: a concrete contribution against the semiconductor crisis
The semiconductor crisis has been gripping the automotive, home appliance, and consumer electronics industries for several months now.
Cars, smartphones, tablets, televisions, and computers are just some of the everyday objects that rely on microchips, and for which big quantities of semiconductors are required. The major players in the field are already making numerous efforts to mitigate the damage to the automotive sector and keep up with the ever-increasing demand for electronic equipment. However, the light at the end of the tunnel is still far away.
Against this backdrop, ATE - Applicazioni Termo Elettroniche is proud to contribute to the cause. The Italian company has recently renewed its partnership with a Chinese tech giant, one of the largest manufacturers of CPUs in the world.
Specifically, the collaboration, in place for several years now, provides for the staggered supply throughout 2022 of numerous frequency converters for epitaxial growth. These frequency converters (130kW/4kHz) will be used to heat the graphite crucibles in semiconductor production plants.
Founded in 1987, ATE - Applicazioni Termo Elettroniche Srl specializes in the design and construction of induction heating equipment and related automation, control, and supervision systems. The company is committed to ensuring the highest level of quality, from the initial study of the application to the actual commissioning of the plant. A continuous remote assistance service completes the picture.
