First quarter 2021: +50% turnover on 2020 for ATE
2020 will go down in history as one of the toughest years for industry and the economy in general. On the contrary, the first quarter of 2021 ended with a strong recovery.
In spite of the difficulties related to the contingent situation worldwide, ATE recorded in Q1 a 50% increase in turnover (2021 vs. 2020). This is mostly due to the strong commitment and capabilities shown during the past year. In addition to the significant boost in orders (+40% over the same period), ATE has also recorded an exponential increase in successful contacts, requests, and contracts.
Oddly enough, these figures represent a positive side effect of the pandemic: on the one hand, the prevalence of remote working practices has caused a massive increase in the demand for electronic devices, of which semiconductors represent a crucial component. As a result, in the last three months the market has exploded, leading to a 200%+ increase in orders over 2019 for ATE-produced generators (which are used in semiconductor manufacturing processes). On the other hand, there’s the recovery of the wire market: as we all know, metal wire is an extremely versatile semi-finished product used in countless applications and industrial sectors for which ATE designs and supplies the specific equipment.
These data are strongly encouraging and give hope for the near future.
ATE, with its enormous experience in the sector, continues to stand out for its excellent availability and competence, meeting the demands of the international industry with high professionalism and complete dedication.
Founded in 1987, ATE is today a company specializing in the design and construction of induction heating equipment and related automation, control, and supervision systems.
