Interview with wire treatment specialist Candor

Candor Sweden AB is a well-known supplier of chemical technology and equipment for wire and strip manufacturers. It specializes in plants for continuous plating, electroplating, and water purification. The company also produces and supplies chemicals, metals, and equipment for surface treatment, metalworking, and electronics.

We conducted a short interview with Adam Högqvist, Sales & Marketing Director, to take stock of the latest activities and upcoming developments at Candor.

Let's get straight to the point. How has the pandemic affected your business over the past period?
It didn't stop us! During the last months, we have acquired various new orders from American, Asian, and European customers. I can name a few, among the recently delivered projects: an electrolytic cleaning line in Germany and Sweden, a copper plating line for welding wire which was installed in Germany, and a multiwire plating line in Thailand.

What are you currently working on?
We have many projects underway. We are working on a silver plating line in Europe and on several copper plating lines for welding wire, both in Europe and Asia. Multiple water treatment plants are also in the pipeline. But we are also busy on the internal front.

What do you mean?
Our engineering team is always striving to improve and update existing solutions. For instance, we are now developing and upgrading our Candojet – a hot water wire cleaning system – focusing on improving operator-side usability and decreasing maintenance activities.
Will you be attending wire 2022?
Of course, we have been exhibiting for several editions and are looking forward to meeting customers and prospects in hall 10, stand no. B72.

Candor, belonging to the industrial group Lotorp AB, has its production site and head office in Norrköping, Sweden. It also has subsidiaries in all of Scandinavia and sales representatives and distributors across Europe, Asia, and the US.
