Coseco: cutting-edge copper-plating lines for steel wire
Chemical copper-plating is a very common process in the steel wire industry, especially when it comes to the production of welding wire and semi-finished industrial products.
On the market since 1975, Coseco offers a wide range of copper-plating solutions, from standard machines to customized plants. In particular, the standard lines can be divided into three groups:
- high-speed lines with multi-groove capstans copper-plating tank with horizontal axis (specific for small diameters, such as MIG welding wire);
- high-speed lines with multi-groove capstans copper-plating tank with vertical axis (ideal for medium-diameter wires);
- straight copper-plating lines (designed for larger diameters, such as submerged arc welding wire).
Copper-plating tanks can be designed for baths with or without inhibitors.
The composition of the initial cleaning section, on the other hand, is chosen according to the surface condition of the starting filter; Coseco offers specific solutions for hot water cleaning, diluted acid cleaning, or electrolytic pickling. Last but not least, all standard lines are equipped with a fume collector system and, on request, with a fume washing tower.
In addition to the standard chemical copper-plating lines, Coseco supplies the market with custom lines to meet specific production needs.
