Coseco, steel and copper wire electrolytic coating lines
Coseco Srl supplies metal surface treatment lines. Thanks to its highly skilled staff, the Italian company offers steel or copper wire electrolytic coating plants.
For more than 30 years, the firm has been designing and manufacturing mono-wire, bi-wire, or multi-wire lines such as:
- electrolytic tinning lines for copper wire;
- electrolytic nickel-plating lines for steel and copper wire;
- electrolytic galvanizing lines for steel wire;
- electrolytic copper plating lines for steel wire (production of CCS - Copper Clad Steel and other applications).
Each Coseco plant includes several stations, each designed with a specific purpose. The first is dedicated to the preparation of the wire surface: cleaning (e.g. in an electrolytic bath), washing in water, and activation. Then, the wire goes through the station for the actual electrolytic coating, which is performed through immersion in an electrolyte solution containing the metal to be deposited. The last step is dedicated to the final washing (in cold or hot water) and to a possible protection treatment for wire conditioning. Last but not least, the wire is then dried off in cold air.
The current-rectifiers implemented by Coseco guarantee high efficiency and low distortion of the plant's electrical network. The devices in direct contact with the material are also carefully chosen according to the liquid. PVC, polypropylene or stainless steel tanks and vessels are resistant to acids and alkaline solutions, while heat exchangers and heating resistors are made of stainless steel, titanium, PVDF, or other materials.
Dulcis in fundo, Coseco lines are built and customized according to the customer’s industrial and production needs. Layout, dimensions, number of wires, preparation cycles, treatment length, and required galvanic currents are defined preemptively to reach the required productivity parameters.
