Gas washing towers and jet scrubbers

Coseco, with 30 years of experience in the industry, can design, build, and install gas scrubber towers and jet scrubbers for the filtration of:

- fumes arising in wire, pipe, and sheet metal pickling plants;
- organic solvents,
- nebulizers;
- sprays from pharmaceutical production.

The plant is designed to treat water vapor fumes containing pollutants that will be retained by passage through a floating bed scrubber tower with counter-current spraying of water.
The air passage is possible thanks to the use of a centrifugal fan into the scrubbing tower.

The tower features a section - partially filled with hollow spheres and a nozzle system - that diffusely spray the washing liquid. The air passing through causes the polypropylene hollow spheres to move randomly. This creates high turbulence and enables high-surface cleanliness, preventing fouling and clogging. The random movement of the spheres and spraying always ensures a high-contact surface area and prevents the formation of preferential flows.

Air, which has lost most of its pollutant charge after washing, passes through the droplet separator and is sent to the stack. The water used for washing the gas flows back into the holding tank and is pumped again by a vertical pump to the nozzles. To maintain a constant level of water (which naturally evaporates during operation) the tank is equipped with a continuous feeding system of mains water that can be adjusted by a flow meter.

The amount of water, as it enters, is greater than the amount evaporated. The amount of excess water determines the concentration of pollutants in the water of the storage tank.

The plant and all its accessories are "CUSTOMIZED" to be inserted into existing production systems.
- Assembly takes place under the supervision of the site manager;
- End-of-assembly checks and start-up are carried out directly by the technical department manager.

Its "operation and maintenance manual" allows you to keep under control the stages of plant operation and necessary maintenance.
