Batch annealers for wires: pit and bell furnaces
FIB Belgium offers tailored solutions for batch productions ranging from 1 ton up to 75 tons. Depending on the required load capacity, two technologies are available: pit furnaces for smaller capacities under 20 tons per day, and bell furnaces for larger productions starting at 20 tons per day.
Designed to withstand the demands of repeated thermal cycles, this equipment typically operates in a neutral nitrogen atmosphere, though it can also function under air or, occasionally, a hydrogen atmosphere. The durability of FIB’s bell furnaces has been proven, with units in operation for over 25 years, including within the renowned WDI Group in Germany.
FIB recently upgraded its Human Machine Interface (HMI) system, making it even more user-friendly and ergonomic for operators. The design of FIB’s furnaces ensures uniform heat distribution and consistent protective atmosphere flow across varying wire diameters and load configurations. This flexibility helps shorten processing cycles while maintaining an optimal metallurgical structure throughout the load.
