IVR technology for fastener heat treatment: a new line from IVR
IVR recently delivered a state-of-the-art heat treatment line for the fastener industry to a major company in Northern Italy. Installed in one of the client’s facilities, located about 30 minutes from IVR’s headquarters, this new setup marks a strategic project for the company.
Development of a customized project
To meet the customer specific needs, IVR adopted an approach centered on technical expertise, experience, and a strong focus on after-sales service, providing tailored solutions and ongoing technical support. Through close and constructive collaboration, IVR developed a technologically advanced, customized solution.
Technical features of the IVR heat treatment line
This heat treatment line is designed for an hourly productivity of 1,000 kg/h and enables hardening, quench and tempering, carburizing, and carbonitriding treatments.
The line includes an automatic loading system, a pre-rinsing and de-phosphating tank, a carburizing furnace, an oil cooling tank, a post-rinse tank, and a tempering furnace. At the end of the process, users can choose between air cooling or cooling in a burnishing tank.
The carburizing furnace
The carburizing furnace is equipped with a high-efficiency heating system with self-recuperative burners, developed with special technology to reduce CO₂ emissions. The furnace atmosphere is achieved by endogas, generated by two IVR-built generators included in the treatment line. The entire line operates automatically by software developed in-house by IVR, ensuring full and precise control of each process stage.
IVR at industry events
Along with unveiling its new heat treatment line, IVR recently attended Fastener Fair Italy and looks forward to meeting you again at the next Fastener Fair Global, scheduled from March 25-27, 2025. This will be a valuable opportunity to showcase additional innovative technological solutions for the industry.
