Newtech: let's take stock of 2019

Newtech, in business since 2003, is a specialist in the production of insulation lines for non-ferrous conductors. Despite being a relatively young company, Newtech’s staff and owners boast a long-standing experience and know-how in the sector. With a considerable product portfolio and solid after-sales support, the italian company is the ideal partner for those looking for solid and lasting partnerships.

We met the heads of Newtech’s sales department to get an overview of the current industry situation and of the company's expectations for 2020.

Being in such close contact with the conductor industry, can you tell us what is the current state of the sector?
The current state of the industry is stable: even though the demand has experienced a notable fallback in the first half of 2019, the market for our type of plants has recovered in the second half of the year, especially since September.

What are the markets and countries where you are most present?
Asia and Europe.

We are now at the end of 2019: how was this year? How did the market respond to your “Different” line for round and flat wire?
The “Different” horizontal lines for large diameter wires and flat wires are gaining a lot of interest from the South East Asian clientele. This is also thanks to the symposium that we held in June this year at our Chinese subsidiary. Numerous operators in the sector from China, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and India have attended the event and we are satisfied with the results. We strongly believe that with the beginning of the new year we will attract even more attention.

In this regard, what is the outlook for 2020? Do you plan to attend any important events?
The prospects for the new year are quite good: we have several ongoing projects which we firmly believe in, and for this reason we think it is important for us to prepare for and attend wire Düsseldorf 2020.

Stay tuned for more updates.
