QED Wire Lines from Texas to Japan: the latest achievements
QED is immensely pleased to announce a new order for a complete high speed galvanizing line from the good customer Mid-South Wire of Nashville, TN. This third order from Mid-South shows trust and confidence in QED’s equipment and services. Having just commissioned Line 2 last year, this new project - incorporating QED’s newest equipment technology – is on the production fast-track.
Wiping Systems Galore!
QED's engineers and draftsmen have been extremely busy these past few months working on several wiping system projects throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East.
MMI (Houston, Texas): is a conversion project from angle pad wipe to vertical wiping. This new QED system will allow them to produce both commercial and heavy coatings with two types of modules (Pad & Nitrogen).
Tree Island Industries (Vancouver, BC): Also an angled pad conversion to Vertical Pad Wiping and Nitrogen Wiping. It includes the new Combo Module offering great production flexibility.
Kamaradis - Global Wire (Thebes, Greece): Implementing a new Nitrogen Wiping system as part of QED Galfan addition to their QED galvanizing line.
BRC (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia): Conversion of an old gas-gravel system to QED’s Nitrogen Wiping
Arabian Wire (Ha’il, Saudi Arabia): Vertical Pad Wiping and Nitrogen Wiping as part of a complete galvanizing line supply.
Keystone Wire (Peoria, IL): A new order to upgrade an electromagnetic wiping system to Nitrogen Wiping for increased coating weights and greater production flexibility.
FastHeat™ Fluidbed off to the land of the rising sun!
Nichia Steel Works Co. has purchased the latest version of a QED FastHeat™ Fluidbed furnace for its plant in Kobe, Japan. This custom designed, high production rate furnace will incorporate QED’s latest combustion and control technology. The QED knowledge base, customer focus and the significant design improvements were key factors in the purchasing decision.
