Sirio Wire’s advanced electrolytic pickling and bronzing lines head to India
General view of Sirio Wire’s bronzing line for bead wire
In the past 2 years, Sirio Wire, an Italy-based manufacturer of wire surface treatment plants, has supplied several lines to India, including 2 electrolytic pickling and 2 bronzing lines for bead wire.
Electrolytic pickling plants for shorter immersion time
The first electrolytic pickling line, started in 2021 in Ludhiana, was installed downstream from a patenting 32-wire patenting furnace. Half the wires go for galvanization and the other half for phosphating. The renowned customer favored H2SO4 electrolytic pickling over the more traditional HCl due to its space-saving advantages. The required immersion time is about three times shorter. Additionally, the line features two reservoir tanks to ensure non stop operation, allowing one bath to be cleaned while the other is in use.
The second electrolytic pickling line, similar in design, is installed downstream from a patenting furnace for 26 high-carbon wires.

Bronzing lines for bead wire: rapidity and efficiency
The first bronzing line for bead wire, started last year, operates with 30 wires at a speed of 450m/min. It includes electrolytic cleaning, electrolytic etching, bronzing, and cumarone coating. The line is designed to the highest standards of automation and environmental protection.
The second bronzing line, which has just been shipped, is designed for 36 wires. It will be installed on a steel structure, allowing access to the wires from both sides, with reservoir tanks at ground level.
