Back in 1970, Renato Scerelli decided to set up his own company and founded Trafileria Scerelli, dedicated to third party low carbon steel drawing.

Significant investments in the best drawing and heat treatment technologies have allowed the Italian company to increase its production capacity exponentially over time. Today, Trafileria Scerelli manufactures low carbon, polished, and drawn wire for electrodes and steel wool, as well as black and white annealed drawn wire, from ø1 mm to ø12 mm in a wide range of packages. The company also carries out a variety of structure-altering heat treatments to adapt the metal to the desired application. In addition, a specialized laboratory allows Trafileria Scerelli to perform chemical and mechanical tests on each order to provide the appropriate certificate for the product.
