The art of wire drawing: steel hexagons by Trafilerie Assi

Wire drawing is a metalworking process that consists in pulling and stretching a material until it reaches the desired shape or section.
For many this is a job. For Trafilerie Assi it is an art.

Since 1973 the company has been producing cold drawn hexagons for high speed machining. Several steel grades are employed, including 11SMn30, 11SMnPb30 and 11SMnPb3 (not intended for heat treatment) and 36SMnPb14 (for direct hardening).

The hexagons of Trafilerie Assi are always available in bars ready for dispatch, but can also be supplied in coils upon request
