Trafilerie Fratelli Rotta to expand its machine shop

The pandemic does not stop investments in the company: a new 4.0 drawing machine has been recently installed.

The renowned Italy-based wire drawing company has recently purchased and started up a new, latest-generation drawing line. The plant, equipped with 4.0 technology systems, allows a direct connection between the office and production—this translates into a more precise and organized workflow and therefore into a better service for customers.

In particular, the machine is used to produce ø0.6 mm to 1.5 mm patented or patented and galvanized low, medium, and high carbon wires. Fully exploiting the potential of the newcomer, Trafilerie Fratelli Rotta has been focusing on the production of DH class wire for dynamic applications, achieving great success in international markets.

"This investment comes at a good time," explains Mr. Elio Rotta, owner of the company. "We are establishing multiple collaborations in Germany and Eastern Europe, mainly with companies in the automotive sector, and orders are growing significantly (ed: +15%). The new drawing machine gives us greater flexibility, allowing us to offer a wider range of products."

Along these lines, the company has also recently expanded its packaging options, introducing Z3 15 mm diameter coils.
