On June 28, the Waelzholz Group acquired the Italy-based company Tempracciaio S.r.l..
Founded in 1959, the service center focuses on tempered and annealed steel strips and boasts a production volume of about 3,000 tons per year. With an established presence in the Italian market, the acquisition will help strengthen Waelzholz's position in this geographic area.
Tempracciaio primarily supplies customers in the automotive and industrial sectors. "Tempracciaio is an excellent addition to our range in many respects," explained Dr. Ing. Heino Buddenberg, CEO of the Waelzholz Group. "Its performance enhances and strengthens our market position in Italy. We share the same high attention to quality and a strong customer oriented approach.”
Long-term benefits from combined expertise
Waelzholz already has a presence in Italy through the company Waelzholz Italia S.r.l., primarily supplying customers with precision stainless steel strips. The combination of Tempracciaio's wide range of steel strip products and Waelzholz's stainless steel assortment constitutes a beneficial merger of expertise in the Italian market. Dr. Buddenberg stated: “In the medium term, the two service centers will be merged at the current Tempracciaio site and further developed. Our customers in the two companies' areas of activity will benefit from the combined expertise and increased flexibility. In this regard, Tempracciaio’s site offers excellent potential for future developments.”
