Environmental, social, economic: Lucefin Group's path toward sustainability
Giorgio Buzzi, chairman of Lucefin Group, spoke at the 3-day online event entitled "Environmental, Social and Governance – Sustainability: not only environment! Our new challenge" organized by ACEF. With a virtual audience of professionals and businesses, the initiative arose from the realization that this issue can no longer be postponed, therefore a path must be set to bring businesses closer together.
Within the broad picture of sustainability, there is often a tendency to consider only the environment. The ACEF course also wanted to emphasize the other pillars of this topic, in particular, the human component, and sustainability of this relationship both with the social matters and with responsible business activities, even more so when considering the goals of Agenda 2030.
Buzzi illustrated the gradual and steady path of transition that has led the Lucefin Group toward corporate sustainability, made possible by cohesion, collaboration, and involvement of all resources. The president's testimony aims to be a concrete example for companies to look at sustainability as something tangible to believe in, the only way to respond to current market needs and achieve future goals.
Founded in 1973, Lucefin has been a global player in the production and distribution of cold-finished steel bars for nearly half a century. With an annual turnover of more than 200 million euros and a production of 300,000 tons/year, the Group exports its products worldwide.
