Wire rod annealing: Metallurgica Locatelli broadens its product portfolio

Located in Calolziocorte (LC), Metallurgica Locatelli is a reference point in the steel industry in northern Italy.

The company has invested in a bell-type annealing furnace with a maximum capacity of 24 tons for the annealing of wire with low, medium, and high carbon content. Installed in the newly constructed facility in 2019, the furnace will allow the company to expand its product range and increase its annual production capacity by approximately 6,000 tons. Upon request, annealing services are also available as a third-party service.

Metallurgica Locatelli operates in the field of low-carbon steel wire drawing. Founded in 1920 by Fortunato Locatelli as a small workshop in northern Italy, the company has evolved into a joint-stock company with around 40 employees and covers an area of 20,000 square meters.
