Quenched and tempered steels have a chemical composition that guarantees the best performance after the heat treatment. In fact, the treated pieces acquire very high mechanical characteristics and are therefore suitable for use in very severe conditions. Rodacciai can supply round, square and hexagonal bars and wires rolled or annealed, based on the type of steel. Thanks to state-of-the-art technologies, the products are also available already quenched and tempered.

Thanks to a complete range of quenched and tempered steels, diversified by chemical composition and therefore by temperability, Rodacciai can satisfy all the metallurgical and mechanical requirements of its customers.

Non-alloy

Steels without alloying elements, featuring high hardness (based on the carbon percentage), at the expense of temperability. These types of steels are not suitable to obtain well-transformed structures on pieces with high thickness, even when quenched in water.

Alloy
With alloying elements in varying proportions, based on the desired degree of temperability.
Available with the addition of chrome for the production of bolts and small-sized pieces; with a chrome and manganese, used in the quenched and tempered state for the manufacturing of earth-moving machines and in the automotive field; with chrome and molybdenum with reduced carbon content, suitable for welding; and more. These steels are generally quenched and tempered in oil, which makes it possible to obtain even very complex shapes.
