Stainless steel round, square, and hexagonal bars

n

Rodacciai supplies stainless steel round, square, and hexagonal bars with excellent resistance to corrosion and high temperatures.

The company's products are ideal for even the harshest environments, such as chemical plants, offshore platforms, and architectural works. Thanks to the high percentage of nickel and chromium, some of these steels are called refractory steels—they are able to withstand high temperatures while maintaining their distinctive mechanical properties.

According to the field of application, the company offers different types of materials. Let's take a closer look at them.

Ferritic steels
Due to the ferritic structure, these steels cannot be hardened. However, the mechanical strength can still be improved by cold deformation or drawing processes. They boast good corrosion resistance thanks to the chromium content. On the one hand, the molybdenum-containing variant further enhances the corrosion resistance. On the other hand, the sulfur-containing variant increases the machinability by chip removal.

Martensitic steels
They can be hardened and therefore supplied either annealed, quenched, or tempered according to production requirements. These steels can also undergo hardening and induction processes after the necessary machining operations.

Austenitic steels
Materials with a high percentage of nickel and remarkable resistance to corrosion. Some versions, containing molybdenum, titanium, and niobium, boast even better resistance. Due to the austenitic structure, quenching and tempering operations are not feasible. However, it is possible to enhance their mechanical properties through cold drawing processes.

Austenitic-ferritic or duplex steels
Also known as duplex steels, these products boast a mixed structure of austenite and ferrite with unique corrosion resistance characteristics (especially to marine and under-voltage corrosion). For this reason, these materials are ideal for offshore applications and particularly aggressive environments.

Heat-resistant stainless steel
A type of product specifically designed for use in heat treatment furnaces or as heating elements. The percentages of chrome and nickel allow preserving the mechanical characteristics even at very high temperatures, thus ensuring long service times.
