Low carbon steel wire rod
Low carbon steel wire rods grant consistent quality over the entire drawing process. Moreover, a special surface finish allows further treatments such as galvanizing or wire coating in general.
Thanks to the wide variety of wire rods available, it is possible to obtain wires with very small diameters (less than 1mm) after processing operations.
Pittini Group is a significant name in the low carbon steel wire rod industry: the Italian company manufactures both wire rod with specific silicon contents that allow hot galvanizing operations, and boron wire rods, which are very ductile and well suited for diameter reduction without the need for additional thermal treatments.
Pittini’s wire rods are used in a variety of applications, such as:
- reinforced concrete structure manufacturing: this type of wire rod is engineered to ensure the compliance of the finished products (cold rolled wire, lattice girders, and electro-welded meshes) with the current regulation;
- certified use for the mechanical field: Fe36 wire rod, compliant with the S235JR standard according to the EN 10025-2 norm as per the EU Regulation 305/2011 n.Fe36-CPR-2013-07;
- welding wires manufacture: low impurity rates to ensure both the highest efficiency during drawing operations and better performing finished products.
A further plus is the great customer service, ready to meet every clients’ needs during packaging and shipping phases.
